Jon Keller is WBZ-TV’s Political Analyst who will be speaking this week on May 29th at 12:15p.m. at Wellesley Kiwanis. Keller's reports are regularly featured during WBZ-TV News at 6PM and 11PM as well as on TV38 News at 9:30PM. He also broadcasts morning drive commentaries on WBZ NewsRadio 1030 and contributes weekly to The Boston Herald and monthly to Boston Magazine.
We will have at least one copy of Jon's latest book, The Bluest State, available for raffle. |

Jim Boyd, Special Correspondent for WCVB-TV Channel 5 will address the Wellesley Kiwanis Club at its Thursday, March 27th luncheon, at the Wellesley College Alumni Club.
Boyd has been with the station since WCVB went on the air in March 1972. and has served in many roles during his tenure, most recently as the co-anchor of the Midday and EyeOpener news broadcasts, after starting as a general assignment reporter. |

Mr. Kevin L. Burke, President and CEO of the Living Care Villages of Massachusetts, Inc. will be speaking. He will be discussing issues, the introduction of new technologies, and advance customer services related to senior living retirement communities. Mr. Burke's primary role is the oversight of LCVM, Inc. entities including the North Hill retirement campus in Needham and the development of the strategic direction for the organization. |

Laurence D. Shind is pleased to join Kiwanis on April 12, 2007 for a talk about the pleasures of jazz. Larry first got the jazz bug in his teens in Cincinnati, where he listened long into the night to legendary jazz DJ, Oscar Treadwell. Larry has been a part-time jazz radio DJ for more than 20 years, and is currently the primary fill-in host for the popular weeknight program, “Jazz with Eric in the Evening”, on WGBH, 89.7 in Boston. |

The program consists of the presentation of checks to the Salvation Army by Wellesley Kiwanis as a result of the Red Kettle drive. All Kiwanians who have volunteered to ring the bell at the kettle are specifically invited. There probably will be a new record to be announced, as well as two other surprises. |

Beth Furman, owner and publisher of WellesleyWeston magazine, spoke to the club. She discussed her career and the events that lead to the creation of the magazine. First published in 2004, the magazine covers such topics as home, garden, family, education, and fitness. |

Our speaker was Joel H. Smith, Ph.D., Executive Director of Autism Services Association (ASA) which is based in Wellesley. Joel noted that while there are many programs for Autistic youngsters, the situation changes once they reach 22 years of age. Thus one focus of ASA is to place participants in jobs within the community. |

Our speaker on November 16th was Barbara Levitov, Marketing Manager of the Davis Museum and Cultural Center, located on the Wellesley College campus. Her presentation focused on the museum's mission and collections, some of which can be viewed on the website. |

Gail Lockberg of the Wellesley Food Pantry spoke to Kiwanis on October 5th. The Pantry has seen a 40% increase in demand over the last year and now serves 140 families in town. |
